Q: My fiancé comes from a Christian background and I am Jewish. Can you bring elements from both our faiths into the wedding ceremony?

A: Yes. As a non denominational reverend I can tailor your ceremony to suit your needs. Your ceremony can incorporate elements & traditions from your religion(s) or if you prefer, your ceremony can be non-religious.

Q: We would like to be involved in the writing of the ceremony itself. Is this possible or do you have a preset ceremony?

A: Yes, in fact I encourage the couple's involvement in the writing process. I feel that this makes for a more personal ceremony. I do have outlines for different ceremonies, but putting a personal touch on each marriage ceremony ensures lasting memories.

Q: Where and when do we obtain our marriage license?

A: Most often, the marriage license is available though the County. This differs from State to State, but generally it should be applied for several weeks in advance of the ceremony, and is up to the couple to do so. The license must be signed by all parties immediately following the ceremony.

Q: How much do you charge for your services?

A: In most cases, a flat fee of $400 will cover the consultation, the writing of the ceremony, the rehearsal, and the ceremony.

Q: Do you perform ceremonies for same-sex couples?

A: Yes. I would never turn away a couple who wishes to marry due to sexual preference, race, religion, age, creed, or color. At present time legal same sex unions vary from state to state. Even so, it's possible to get married "in the eyes of God" or "in the eyes of your Community" without getting legally married. A Commitment Ceremony is a wonderful way to gather their friends and loved ones to celebrate your relationship and mark your commitment.

Q: Are you available to travel outside Southern California?

A: Yes. I can legally perform marriages in all 50 states and the US Virgin Islands; however any travel and hotel expenses that are incurred must be covered by the couple to be married. Arrangements will be made in advance of the ceremony, following the initial consultation.
